Level 1 Ice Technician Workshop (2 day workshop)

Designed to teach the Ice Technician how to maintain the curling ice during the season.

Pre-requisite:  None

Participants can expect to learn:

  • Ice Plant Care and Operation
  • Tools of the Trade
  • Ice and Building Temperature 
  • Pebbling 
  • Use of Hand and Mechanical Scrapers
  • Maintenance Long Term Care of Curling Stones
  • Ice Conditions

This workshop will be held in conjunction with the Adult Trillium Curling Camp.  Participants are welcome to opt into meals/entertainment being served as part of the camp but will need to pay an additional meal fee.  Meals must be paid for in advance, all participants in the workshop will receive separate notification closer to the event with more details.
