Ontario Curling Council Passes New Bylaws and Elects Independent Councillors

The Ontario Curling Council and its members, the OCA and NOCA, are pleased to announce that the Council passed new Bylaws during a special general meeting on October 26, 2015.

Revisions were made to the bylaws to reflect a new Council Structure which will consist of 2 Councillors elected by each of the member associations (OCA and NOCA), and 3 independent Councillors, giving a total of seven (7) Councillors. These changes were made to ensure compliance with the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport’s Sport Recognition Policy. Congratulations to the Council for the careful consideration and work they put into ensuring a strong council structure that will advocate for all curlers in Ontario.

A second Special General Meeting was held to hold elections.  We are pleased to announce the following three (3) independent Councillors who elected to staggered terms:
